JOINT ONLINE EVENT OF THE OPCW AND MAVESZ

31 March 2026, 14:00

MAVESZ and the OPCW are jointly organizing an English‑language webinar on Tuesday, 31 March 2026, at 14:00, to present the activities of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW).

In accordance with international legal obligations, several companies are required to provide data related to materials that may be associated with the production of chemical weapons. This task is coordinated at the international level by the OPCW, headquartered in The Hague.

The main objective of the event—and the focus of the first part of the webinar—is to raise awareness of the OPCW’s mission and mandate, and to introduce the organization’s operations, which are overseen by the OPCW Technical Secretariat. The second part of the presentation will focus on career opportunities at the OPCW, as well as the organization’s recruitment and selection processes, with the aim of broadening the pool of Hungarian applicants and encouraging their participation.

Topics / Agenda:

  • Opening of the webinar – Csaba Szabó, MAVESZ, and József Pete, Government Office of Budapest
  • The work of the OPCW – Anne Glick, Public Affairs Officer
  • Career opportunities and talent acquisition processes – Milan Jelenkovic, Head of the Talent Acquisition Unit
