At the initiative of the Hungarian Chemists’ Association (also a member of MAVESZ), a large-scale coalition was formed under the title “Chemistry for Everyone” with several professional associations (e.g. MKE, MAVESZ, MAFEOSZ, MAGYOSZ, etc.), a large number of companies (e.g. MOL, MOL Petrolkémia, BorsodChem, Nitrogénművek, BASF, Gedeon Richter, EGIS, etc.) and with the participation of almost all professionally relevant universities.
The aim of the collaboration is to jointly, on a platform operated by MKE, be able to reach all events, competitions and initiatives that any affiliated organization does for the promotion of chemistry. In this way, by making a joint effort and strengthening each other’s activities, we can take steps against the shortage of teachers and professionals, in order to support professional training. Happily, the Ministry of Culture and Innovation and the Ministry of the Interior have shown interest in the initiative, as evidenced by the personal participation of the KIM Deputy State Secretary and the large number of press appearances.
